We have a prestigious sister business Deacon Search, which is an established legal search boutique focusing solely on partners. Since 1999 Deacon Search has been retained by over 30 leading law firms and has been independently recognised as one of the leading legal search boutiques.
Deacon Associates wholly complements its sister business, offering a first class service to clients and the highest calibre lawyers at all levels sub partner.
Our aim is to be independently recognised as the leading legal recruitment boutique in terms of successful delivery and service to clients and candidates.
In order to achieve this, we take an innovative approach to recruitment. Our strategy is to tailor make our services to our clients’ and candidates’ requirements. We believe in a highly ethical code of conduct and due to our social responsibilities we pledge 10% of our annual net profit to charity.
Gemma Deacon
Gemma graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Psychology (2:1 BSc Hons). She subsequently joined the world's largest pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, promoting medicines to doctors.
In 2007 Gemma entered the world of legal recruitment, establishing Deacon Associates, a sister business to Deacon Search. In addition to placing solicitors and advising law firms on recruitment strategy, Gemma also works with Deacon Search on a range of partner assignments. She has experience in both search and contingency recruitment and her client base covers select City, West End and Niche firms.

Gideon Krotosky
Gideon graduated from City University with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) in Economics and Accountancy before joining the graduate scheme at Michael Page Legal in September 2006.
He has recruited lawyers at a variety of levels from newly qualified to partner into West End, City and US law firms in London. Gideon also played a key role in the success of the newly qualified team in 2007 and 2008.
Gideon was promoted to managing consultant at the end of 2008 and joined Deacon Associates in September 2009 where he focuses on both search and contingency for a wide range of law firms.

Rob Fowler
Rob graduated from the University of Reading with an LLB (2:1 LLB (Hons)) with Legal Studies in Europe before attending Oxford Institute of Legal Practice, Oxford where he undertook the Legal Practice Course. He trained with SJ Berwin LLP, qualifying in 2008, and subsequently practised as a corporate lawyer. Rob joined Deacon Associates in 2010 and focuses on both search and contingency for a wide range of lawyers in London.

Hugo Tang
Hugo graduated from Cardiff University with joint honours in LLB Law and Politics, before gaining his Masters degree in European Law from University of Bristol. In July 2010, Hugo made the transition into legal recruitment with Eximius Law and has played a pivotal role in establishing the Private Practice team. He has successfully recruited lawyers for leading UK, US and boutique firms in London and Hong Kong. Hugo joined Deacon Associates in November 2011 and focuses on both search and contingency for a wide range of law firms in the UK and Asia markets.

Joshua Fosh
Joshua graduated from Anglia Ruskin University with a 2:1 (LLB Hons) in Law before attending Kaplan Law School London, where he undertook the Legal Practice Course and gained a distinction. Joshua joined Deacon Associates in January 2012 and focuses on sourcing quality associate candidates and researching the London legal market.
